第三屆21世紀杯全國英語演講比賽冠軍梁勵敏

可能是由于我對英語學習一直懷著巨大的熱情，同時成績也不錯的緣故吧，從中學起我就成了各種英語比賽的�？�，尤其在大學階段，我有幸兩次參加全國性的英語賽事。如今，當時比賽中扣人心弦的種種情形已漸漸被時間沖淡，只在偶然間會被重新記起。然而備戰(zhàn)的過程卻給我留下了許多值得回味的東西，它在潛移默化中影響甚至是改變著我的生活。

北外—青春的課堂

如果有人問我，大學時代感受最深、收獲最大的是什么？我會毫不猶豫的說，是有幸得到諸多良師的指點。他們賦予我的，不但是知識上的熏陶，更是把一種人文主義的精神長久的植入我的腦海。這些感受，許多來自課堂，也有許多來自數(shù)次為參加全國比賽而進行的集訓。

楊宇光老師是我兩次比賽的指導老師，1997年辯論賽時他就是我們辯論隊的主教練。印象中他永遠的治學嚴謹，永遠的紳士風度，永遠說用詞考究的british english，有著英國式的幽默。盡管當時比賽的辯題并不是特別深刻的學術(shù)話題，但他依然要求我們深入破題，在底下做充分的research。為了給我們拓寬思路，他屢次召集系里的熱心老師，從老教授到年輕教員，與我們一同討論。用他的話來說，只有充分剖析，寫出來的東西才能有分量——這也是北外的學術(shù)傳統(tǒng)的體現(xiàn)。為了指導我們，他放棄了許多休息的時間。對我們的presentation，他逐字逐句進行修改；幾乎每天他都親自安排我們的訓練并細心點評我們發(fā)揮中的優(yōu)缺點。

到了第二年演講賽的時候，他又成為我的指導老師。當時我的演講稿寫得并不順。有的學校在這種大賽時采取老師替學生捉刀的方法，準備演講部分的寫作就由老師代勞。但楊老師始終認為，這一環(huán)節(jié)也是對學生極好的鍛煉。記得那一個講稿，我重寫了兩三遍，每一遍都對選題有了更深的理解，寫得也更好一些。比賽時間迫近了，他把學院參加第一屆“21世紀杯”并獲獎的師兄徐翌成找來，說，“l(fā)et’s put our heads together, and make a final effort at it.”那天晚上，我們改稿改到深夜，終于拿出了一個令人滿意的version，稿子比我自己的更大氣，更層層深入，也更有文采。這篇文章為我的比賽增色不少，而經(jīng)過賽前的充分準備，我在回答問題部分和即興演講部分也發(fā)揮得很好，正式宣布結(jié)果前，老師走過來微笑著拍拍我的肩，說“i think www.seogis.coming session上，卻又能智光四射的給我們提供許多思想的火花。對他的厚積薄發(fā)，我們時常感到由衷的折服。

演講，辯論賽的備戰(zhàn)，因其能夠得到學院的最強的師資陣容的點撥，而令所有過來人受益匪淺。記得1995年復旦大學奪得華語國際大專辯論賽冠軍后出版的《獅城舌戰(zhàn)》一書中，選手們把由多位資深教授給他們準備的系列講座稱為“濃縮的精神大餐”，把思辨的訓練稱為“把神經(jīng)繃到極細的線”的生活。而我們當時訓練的規(guī)模雖小，卻也能讓我們深深體會到此中的滋味，這實為人生的幸事。

有人說，人們可以忘記年年歲歲，卻無法忘記片刻與瞬間，正是這些片刻與瞬間，讓短暫成為永恒。正是與老師朝夕相處的點點滴滴，讓我領悟到他們的治學和做人之道。我們深諳，比賽的勝負其實并不是最重要的，它只是我們鍛煉自身素質(zhì)的一種途徑，而更值得回味的，是過程中的所得，是領會那種踏踏實實的做學問的精神。

這對我來說是一筆永久的精神財富。
