1.每一個單元的重點詞,詞組,句型都會是以后考試的常考點,現(xiàn)在認(rèn)真掌握好,以后就是得分點,反之亦然,能夠從每一個單元的學(xué)習(xí)中歸納出重點知識的學(xué)習(xí)技巧,也是高效學(xué)習(xí)的基本能力。

八上英語1,2單元圍繞頻率和疾病,引入了日常生活中的一些英語知識。額外地,1單元對詞語辨析較為著重,多種近義詞容易混淆,2單元重點在相關(guān)詞語的句型,著重的并非單個詞語本身,而是其句型和使用方法。

一.頻率副詞

頻率顧名思義,表示事情發(fā)生頻率的多少,或者說事件在固定周期內(nèi)發(fā)生次數(shù)的多少。1單元中,我們學(xué)到的有always,usually,often,sometimes,hardly,never,當(dāng)然,也學(xué)習(xí)了once,twice這樣表示頻率的副詞。

always,表示所有場合下,任意時間內(nèi),沒有特例,即“總是”。是最高頻率,無一例外100%。比如,我們每天都會把作業(yè)交給老師:Wealwayshandinourhomeworktotheteachereveryday。交作業(yè),每日無一例外地進行。

usually,表示在習(xí)俗,習(xí)慣,個人經(jīng)驗前提下,有一定的固定性,即“通常,按某種規(guī)律來說的話”。usually這個詞頻率也相當(dāng)?shù)母,僅低于always,所以它不是100%,會因為特殊因素產(chǎn)生例外。比如,湯姆習(xí)慣早起,但因為生病了,所以中午才起床:Tomusuallygetsupearlyeverymorning,buttodayhewasill,sohedidn’tgetupuntilnoon。再舉一個例子,在某個節(jié)日,通常會有慶典,當(dāng)然如果天氣不好,就只能取消:Onthisfestival,weusuallyholdaceremonytocelebrate,butiftheweatherisbad,wecanonlycancelit.又如,在這種情況下,醫(yī)生首先會選擇輸血:Inthissituationdoctorsusuallyhaveabloodtransfusionfirst.醫(yī)生依靠經(jīng)驗,使用usually。

often,比較廣泛,就是“常常,經(jīng)常”。比always,usually的頻率要低,因為即不是100%的無一例外,也沒有固定性,僅僅是經(jīng)常,次數(shù)較多,但也占了一半以上的可能性。Heoftengoestothelibraryafterschool.他經(jīng)常放學(xué)去哪個圖書館,這里,僅僅只是說他去得多,不一定是習(xí)慣,也許只是因為要考試備考,等考完了也許他就不去了,注意和usually區(qū)分。Sheoftenvisitshermomonsummervacation.她經(jīng)常在暑假去拜訪她媽媽,同樣地,并不是習(xí)慣或習(xí)俗,只是次數(shù)多,因為放假。也許假期結(jié)束了,沒時間了就不去了。

sometimes,表示“偶爾,有時”。廣泛意義的頻率較低,容易理解。舉例,他回家的路上有時會喝點東西。Hesometimesdrinkssomethingonhiswayhome.他偶爾和弟弟在后院玩玩。Hesometimesplaywithhisbrotherinthebackyard.

hardly,表示“幾乎不”,頻率幾乎為零,極小幾率發(fā)生。舉例,他上學(xué)時幾乎沒寫過作業(yè)。Hehardlydidhishomeworkwhenhewasastudent.我?guī)缀醪淮┘t色的鞋子,Ihardlywearredshoes.never,與always相反,表示“從不,從未”。頻率一定是0%。這里很好說明了:他睡覺從不關(guān)窗戶,Heneverclosesthewindowswhenheissleeping.他在課堂上從未大聲喊叫過,Henevershoutsloudinclass。

以上頻率副詞,頻率依次遞減,從100%到0%。需要注意的是,以上副詞,置于句子前端,在動詞,be動詞之前,或情態(tài)動詞后。

Tracywasalwaysoutgoingwhenshewasyoung.Weshouldneverlietotheteachers.

二.Should的用法

should,意思是“應(yīng)當(dāng),應(yīng)該”。某些場合下,含有命令的意味。對于should這樣的情態(tài)動詞,不會因為人稱改變而改變形式,只需注意,should不能作為句子中充當(dāng)動作的成分。

Should有三種用法,分別為表示責(zé)任義務(wù),推斷,建議。舉例:表示責(zé)任義務(wù)時可以說Youshouldhelptheoldman,hecan’tcarrytheluggage.你應(yīng)當(dāng)去幫那個老先生,他搬不動行李。(幫助老人是社會責(zé)任)表示推斷可以說Billyshouldbeatschooltoday,it’sMonday。今天星期一,比利應(yīng)該在上學(xué)。(根據(jù)時間進行推斷)表示建議的時候可以說Ithinkyoushouldsaysorrytothekid,it’snothisfault.我覺得你應(yīng)該向那個小孩道歉,這不是他的過錯。(勸告他道歉)

注意,做答語時,句子可以沒有動詞,只有should這個情態(tài)動詞,請看:

三.重點詞,句型辨析

1.hardhardly

hard可以做形容詞,表示困難的,不好完成的,堅硬的,做副詞是努力地,用力地。hardly只有副詞形式,不可做形容詞,表示幾乎不,幾乎沒可能。

Hewashithardbythecar.他被車猛烈撞到。hard-adv.Danalwaysworkshard.丹總是奮力工作。Hard-adv.

Itisahardtaskforus.這對于我們來說是個艱巨的任務(wù)。hard-adj.

Doyouthinkthebreadiskindofhard?你不覺得面包有點硬嗎?hard-adj.

HecanhardlyspeakJapanese.他幾乎不會說日語。(只會一丁點兒)Thereishardlyanywaterinthecup。杯子里幾乎沒水了。

2.sometimes,sometime,sometimes,sometime。

這4個不難區(qū)分,注意中間是否有空格。沒空格的是詞,sometimes,有時,偶爾;sometime,某個時間點,某時。而又空格的是詞組,sometimes,某幾次,有幾次,幾倍;sometime,某一段時間。我們現(xiàn)在分別造句:

sometimes:IsometimeswatchTVathome.

sometime:Don’tlockthedoor,yourdadwillbebacksometimetoday.sometimes:Hecametomyhousesometimesthisfall.

sometime:Carolinestayedathersister’sforsometimeyesterday.

3.try

try,本身含義是嘗試,其句型,詞組有

trytodosth,trynottodosth盡量(努力)去做某事,盡量不做某事【一定要盡力】

trydoingsth嘗試做某事【可以淺嘗輒止】

tryout試驗出,通過實驗得出tryon試穿衣服,鞋子

4.although

although與though,eventhough意思用法相近,表示“雖然”。但是不像漢語中,會有“但是”跟著在句中出現(xiàn),即不能在句子后面加上but。但可以使用still,yet。

比如,要表達“雖然他刻苦學(xué)習(xí)日語,但是還是只能說一點兒日語”,可以說AlthoughhestudiedhardatJapanese,hecanhardlyspeakit.(只使用although)AlthoughhestudiedhardatJapanese,yethecan’tspeakit.(搭配yet)

AlthoughhestudiedhardatJapanese,hecanstillhardlyspeakit.(搭配still)千萬記住,不要寫出although...but...這樣的結(jié)構(gòu),是錯誤的!!5.must,need,haveto

must表示主觀需要,need表示客觀要求,mustn’t表示不準(zhǔn),禁止,needn’t表示不必,不需要haveto是“不得不”

首先要明確,little這邊的是修飾不可數(shù)名詞的,而few這邊是修飾可數(shù)名詞。alittle有一點兒(不可數(shù)的)Thereisalittlejuiceinthebottle.little幾乎沒有(不可數(shù)的)Ihavelittlemoneywithmyself.

hope有很大希望能夠達成,或者非常想要達成且可以達成的含義,而wish可以使祝愿,祝福,或者通過虛擬語氣表示不可能達成的愿望。hopeso

兩點需要注意,第一hope沒有hopesbtodosth這個句型,是錯誤的,第二wishthat...描述的是虛擬語氣下不可能達成的愿望,比如IwishthatIcouldplaysuchmovingmusic.

四.詞語的基本構(gòu)成

英語中,詞語的含義有兩層,一層是基本含義,即字面意思,第二層是指示含義,即衍生出來的詞義。我們拿interesting這個詞來看,基本含義就是有趣的,造句Thestoryisinteresting,Ilikeit!但是,如果是Thestoryisinteresting,Ialmostfallasleep!這句中,就不再是基本含義,而是諷刺無聊,枯燥。同樣的,little這個詞,基本含義是小的,幾乎沒有,拿小的這個來看,如果說Thisisalittletown.那么這里不僅僅說鎮(zhèn)子小,也帶有喜愛的含義。

總體來說,就是一個詞首先有一個基本含義,然后在不同的環(huán)境下衍生出不同的指示含義。比如kill,play。

很多詞,你會發(fā)現(xiàn)就像一個系列,比如care,careful,careless,carefully,carefulness,carelessness。這里就要說到“詞根”這個概念。剛才那組詞,詞根就是care。以care為中心,加上不同前綴,后綴,就構(gòu)成了以上那組詞。

表示將要發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。本時態(tài)標(biāo)志詞:

解說如例1所示,在單句中使用過去進行時來表達時必須把該動作正在進行中的時間表明清楚,否則就不合邏輯了。例如:Iwastakingabathyesterday.(錯)

(昨天我正在洗澡昨天24小時都正在洗澡嗎?)

所以本句應(yīng)該如例1來表達,或者用一般過去時表達如下:Itookabathyesterday.(昨天我洗了澡。)

如果由上下文的文意,或者對談中的話意可以了解“動作正在進行中的時間”,單句里就使用過去進行時來表達是很普通的,例如:

直接引語和間接引語

(一)直接引述別人的原話,叫做直接引語;用自己話轉(zhuǎn)述別人的話,叫做間接引語。間接引語一般構(gòu)成賓語從句。直接引語必須放在引號內(nèi),間接引語則不用引號。直接引語改為間接引語時,除將引語部分變成賓語從句外,還必須對直接引語中的人稱、時態(tài)、指示代詞、時間狀語、地點狀語等進行改變。

1.時態(tài)的變化:直接引語變?yōu)殚g接引語時,通常受轉(zhuǎn)述動詞said,asked等的影響而使用過去化的時態(tài),即把原來的時態(tài)向過去推,也就是一般現(xiàn)在時變

一般過去時,現(xiàn)在進行時變?yōu)檫^去進行時等。例如:Tomsaidtome,—Mybrotherisdoinghishomework.‖

→Tomsaidtomethathisbrotherwasdoinghishomework.

2.人稱代詞、指示代詞、時間狀語、地點狀語等等的變化;根據(jù)意義進行相應(yīng)的變化。如:SheaskedJack,—Wherehaveyoubeen?‖→SheaskedJackwherehehadbeen.Hesaid,—Thesebooksaremine.‖→Hesaidthatthosebookswerehis.

(二)直接引語改為間接引語時,都使用陳述語序,但是因為原句的句式不同,所以變成間接引語時所用的連詞會有所不同。

1.陳述句的間接引語:陳述句由直接引語變間接引語,由that引導(dǎo),可以省略。

1.現(xiàn)在完成時態(tài)表示過去發(fā)生的動作對現(xiàn)在造成的影響或結(jié)果。本時態(tài)標(biāo)志詞:already(—已經(jīng)‖,用于肯定句中,放在have/has之后或句尾);yet(—仍然‖—還‖,用于疑問句或否定句的句尾)just(—剛剛‖,放在have/has之后);before(—以前‖,放在句尾);

ever(—曾經(jīng)‖,放在have/has之后)never(—從沒有‖,在have/has之后)例句:
